Gerhard Struber has made an exciting Anis Mehmeti claim after the winger starred in Bristol City’s win over Swansea City, insisting that he still has “space to grow” despite the impressive standard he has sustained this season.<\/p>\n
The Robins returned from the November international break in impressive fashion as they ran out 3-0 winners over the Swans<\/a> at Ashton Gate on Saturday lunchtime. First-half goals from Rob Dickie and Emil Riis, as well as a late Yu Hirakawa strike<\/a>, proved to be enough to keep all three points in the West Country.<\/p>\n Mehmeti assisted all three goals<\/a>, crossing into the path of both Dickie and Riis in the opening period, before threading a perfectly-weighted through ball behind the Swansea backline late on to leave Hirakawa with a routine finish past Lawrence Vigouroux.<\/p>\n OPINION<\/p>\n READ MORE: Bristol City 3-0 Swansea City reaction: Dickie, Riis and Hirakawa send Robins to home win<\/a><\/p>\n With his three assists against the managerless Swans, the 24-year-old has now registered 11 goal involvements in 16 Championship matches this term. Although he is arguably playing his best ever football in red and white, Struber still feels he can – and has the drive to – get even better.<\/p>\n “He was super efficient today, and this is a quality topic,” the head coach told Bristol Live<\/a> in his post-match press conference. “Of course, he has an outstanding leg and technical power.<\/p>\n “Twiney and Anis have special creativity, and this is very difficult to read, to anticipate what is coming. They have the power, so it’s not a coincidence. The away side found a bit of a footing in the game heading into the break and forced a couple of smart saves from Radek Vitek<\/a> in the second half, but the points were sealed when Hirakawa fired home his third of the season late on.<\/p>\n After a challenging few weeks, the Reds’ performance was impressive, and the three points gained are enough to see them return to the play-off places, at the time of writing. With the games coming thick and fast, both this week and in the lead-up to the festive period<\/a>, the Robins are more than happy with their current situation.<\/p>\n When asked if it was the perfect way to start this block of games, Struber smiled, “In more directions: players back from injuries, good result and performance.<\/p>\n “We can always do better, but I would say this was a really good step with a little bit of new things.
