Her condition came into sharp focus recently when her Gustaakh Ishq co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/vijay-varma\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vijay Varma<\/a> recounted witnessing her have a seizure during the film\u2019s shoot.<\/p>\n<p>She briefed the team before the incident<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview with Mashable India, Vijay shared that Fatima sensed early signs of a potential seizure and proactively informed him along with a few team members.\u201cShe had warned me and 2-3 team members beforehand, and she had given us a guidelines of what to do when she gets a seizure. I thought is she saying this to scare us,\u201d he said, admitting he initially assumed she might be overcautious.<\/p>\n<p>The moment that left Vijay shaken<\/p>\n<p>Vijay described the late-night moment when the seizure occurred.\u201cDuring pack-up time\u2026 I heard something, and by that time, she had gotten a seizure. I felt so vulnerable and helpless. But then I recalled all the things that she had told me,\u201d he shared.He immediately stepped in and followed her instructions.\u201cWe emptied out a bed on the shoot and made her lie down and asked people to give her space. I just kept my hand on her head and sat near her,\u201d he recalled.Once the seizure passed, they drove her back to the hotel. \u201cWhen she came to the hotel, she was awake, but she didn\u2019t recall everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fatima Sana Shaikh on Facing Harassment: &#8216;You Only Have to Be a Girl for It\u2026&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Fatima explains why she doesn\u2019t remember her seizures<\/p>\n<p>Fatima clarified that the loss of memory is common. \u201cWhen you get a proper seizure, at that time, you don\u2019t know what is happening. It\u2019s a proper wipe out,\u201d she said. She added that a lack of awareness often leads people to misinterpret the condition. \u201cMany times&#8230; people think iska toh natak hai.
