The Duchess of Sussex graces the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\/2136278\/meghan-markle-mistakes-magazine-cover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new cover for the US magazine<\/a> for its December 2025\/January 2026 issue.<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Kaitlyn Greenidge recounts their chats, and besides the now infamous one in New York, when she was announced by staff, there was another incident in Los Angeles, which was described as a \u201ccalculated&#8221; move.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote: \u201cNow it\u2019s lunchtime at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I\u2019ve followed Meghan underneath the iconic green-and-white-striped awning of the entryway and through the cream-carpeted lobby and outdoors onto the patio, where a live piano player\u2019s notes accompany our procession. Long the see-and-be-seen spot for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/hollywood\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hollywood<\/a> dealmaking and politicking, it is a calculated choice as the site for my first interview with Meghan. We are ushered to a circular table in the corner of the garden, a prime seat where we can see the other diners and they can see the three of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New York Post\u2019s Caitlyn Becker said on the NY POSTcast: \u201cQuite the hotspot, there\u2019s one in New York. If you haven\u2019t heard of this, it\u2019s like impossible to get into. These two sat at a prime table, at a prime hotspot where they could be seen by everyone.
