{"id":589140,"date":"2025-11-23T17:12:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T17:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/589140\/"},"modified":"2025-11-23T17:12:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T17:12:18","slug":"man-jailed-after-stealing-5000-worth-of-tobacco-in-bristol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/589140\/","title":{"rendered":"Man jailed after stealing \u00a35000 worth of tobacco in Bristol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A man has been jailed after stealing nearly \u00a35,000 pounds worth of tobacco from Bristol businesses.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jamie Doyle, 36, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery, four counts of commercial burglary and two counts of shoplifting and was sentenced to three years and nine months at Bristol Crown Court on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The offences, which took place in October, included stealing more than \u00a31,300 in tobacco from the Co-Op in Church Road, St George, and violently pushing a staff member at the nearby Co-Op on Two Mile Hill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sgt Chris Wright said Doyle had caused &#8220;alarm&#8221; and &#8220;unnecessary stress to someone just trying to go about their daily job&#8221; in his efforts to get his &#8220;tobacco fix&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has been jailed after stealing nearly \u00a35,000 pounds worth of tobacco from Bristol businesses.
