{"id":589427,"date":"2025-11-23T20:43:29","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T20:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/589427\/"},"modified":"2025-11-23T20:43:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T20:43:29","slug":"flying-tiger-the-nen-north-edinburgh-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/589427\/","title":{"rendered":"Flying Tiger \u2013 The NEN \u2013 North Edinburgh News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nen.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Flying-Tiger-photo.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Flying-Tiger-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-217962\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The countdown is on to the opening of three new stores at one of Scotland\u2019s largest shopping centres, The Centre, Livingston next week, The Works on Thursday, 27th, Flying Tiger Copenhagen on the 28th, which is Black Friday and MINISO on Saturday, 29th\u00a0November.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The three new arrivals follow on from the recent opening of Wingstop and the jewellers, F.Hinds at The Centre, Livingston, which has over 150 shops and restaurants, including M&amp;S, Flannels, River Island, JD Sports, wagamama and Nando\u2019s, welcoming over 14.8m visitors a year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Works, which sells a wide range of books, art and craft supplies, stationery, toys and games, including stocking filler essentials, will open at 9am on Thursday, 27th\u00a0November. Visitors can enjoy\u00a0live product demonstrations and\u00a0free activity sheets and stickers for children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The opening of Flying Tiger Copenhagen the following day at 9am, will be marked with an official, celebratory ribbon ceremony, with the first 200 customers receiving a complimentary goody bag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The global Danish brand, which specialises in creating modern, seasonal items and contemporary, colourful everyday essentials, from homeware and stationery to toys and decorations, will also be running various promotions on the day and a \u2018Spin the Wheel\u2019 competition to win prizes. The brand\u2019s mascot will also be making an appearance to entertain shoppers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Opening just in time for Christmas, visitors to the store will be able to pick up everything they need for the festive season, including\u00a0stocking fillers, gadgets, games and sweet treats.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nen.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MINISO-countdown-pic-scaled.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1706\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MINISO-countdown-pic-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-217963\"  \/><\/a>Pic Greg Macvean 03\/07\/2025&#13;The Centre, Livingston \u2013 Style Squad and Miniso<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The pop culture retailer, MINISO, will open the day after Flying Tiger Copenhagen, on Saturday, 29th\u00a0November at 12noon, with goody bags for the first 200 shoppers who spend \u00a35, which are worth \u00a325. There will also be a special visit from MINISO\u2019s mascot, Penpen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The brand is known for its\u00a0fun, colourful and trendy design-led lifestyle products, including unique collectables, plush toys and figurines from brands like\u00a0Hello Kitty, Harry Potter and Friends, and its beauty and homeware range.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Centre, Livingston, which is owned by LCP UK, part of M Core, one of Europe\u2019s leading privately owned commercial property development and management companies, has welcomed various other brands this year including Starbucks, Aunty Anne\u2019s, XXXTra and the country\u2019s first darts store, ArrowHeadz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Pizza Dawgz and Cake Box is expected to open early next year and Marble Buffet in the summer, which will be their first site in a Scottish shopping centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The company is also planning to expand into the leisure sector with the opening of Hollywood Bowl in 2026, featuring 22 lanes, an arcade and a bar and diner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Michael Burke, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Managing Director UK and Ireland, said: \u2018\u2018We\u2019re thrilled to be opening our new store at The Centre, Livingston, just in time for the festive season.
