Democratic senator Mark Kelly has said he refuses to be intimidated after US president Donald Trump accused a group of Democrats of \u201cseditious behaviour punishable by death\u201d<\/a> in a series of social media posts.<\/p>\n

Kelly, one of several Democrats who released a messageto military and intelligence personnel that they are not obligated to follow \u201cillegal orders\u201d, reiterated his call on Sunday, saying that Trump was \u201ctrying to intimidate us\u201d. Kelly called on congressional Republicans to reject Trump\u2019s threats.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Democrat Amy Klobuchar condemned what she said was a \u201cdangerous\u201d response from the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is dangerous is the president of the United States threatening these members of Congress with death,\u201d she told Meet the Press on Sunday. \u201cLiterally, saying that they should be executed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cdepartment of government efficiency\u201d (Doge) has apparently been dissolved with eight months still remaining on its contract, ending a drawn-out campaign of invading federal agencies and firing thousands of federal workers.<\/p>\n
