A fifth defeat in six Premier League games prompted the inevitable response from Leeds United fans regarding Daniel Farke\u2019s position as manager, and the 49ers are more than aware of the situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the performance was much improved compared to defeats against Brighton and Nottingham Forest, in which Leeds<\/a> conceded three times and surrendered a 1-0 lead, it has still resulted in a defeat.<\/p>\n

Should Leeds sack Daniel Farke? <\/p>\n

Lukas Nmecha, one of only two players to get pass marks, according to LeedsUnited.News\u2019 player ratings<\/a>, scored his third goal of the season. He might not have known much about it, but he was well-positioned.<\/p>\n

However, a Morgan Rogers brace after half-time proved too much for Leeds. Daniel Farke was once again reactive instead of proactive, and Leeds fans couldn\u2019t understand his decision to start Brenden Aaronson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the defeat to Forest, the 49ers\u2019<\/a> position was that they would like to give Farke until January. However, Leeds fans can often influence a decision, just ask Jesse Marsch after losing to Forest in 2023.<\/p>\n

Well, LeedsUnited.News<\/strong> insider Graeme Bailey reports that the 49ers are \u201cconstantly assessing\u201d things at Leeds and while Paraag Marathe<\/a> won\u2019t jump to a decision, the board understands that fans are worried.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 49ers are aware of the situation and are constantly assessing. It won\u2019t be a knee-jerk reaction, but they know the fanbase is restless,\u201d Bailey reported to LeedsUnited.News following the loss to Villa.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe question they are currently asking themselves is whether this squad\/team is one of the three worst in the Premier League? There is a real chance that it is,\u201d Bailey continued, with Farke under the spotlight.<\/p>\n

What Daniel Farke and the pundits said about his future as Leeds manager after Aston Villa loss: <\/p>\n

Jamie Carragher: \u201cThe longer this run continues for Leeds, you would fear for the manager.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aidy White: \u201cFor me, replacing the manager, I\u2019m not sure it\u2019s definitely the right thing to do now, given the games we have coming up.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke: \u201cBelieve me, in terms of pressure, the first day you walk in the door as Leeds United manager, you have pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThey are willing to invest and bring players in during the window, but do they think Farke can keep them up? They did in the summer,\u201d he added. \u201cBut clearly there is a concern now and they are looking at it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paraag Marathe has to avoid Jesse Marsch mistake with Farke<\/p>\n

There are growing similarities with the 2022-23 season in which Leeds were relegated in their previous Premier League season. Marsch\u2019s side had 12 points from 12 games, while Leeds have just 11 so far.<\/p>\n

Not only that, but Marsch\u2019s side had scored more and conceded less. Andrea Radrizzani admits he made a mistake in holding on to Marsch<\/a> for as long as he did, eventually sacking the American in February.<\/p>\n

It meant Leeds struggled to bring in a replacement, missing out on Unai Emery, Julen Lopetegui<\/a> and others. Three games under interim management, then bringing in Javi Gracia, who was out of his depth.<\/p>\n

Leeds simply cannot afford to make the same mistake.
