Many cheaper models won’t be compliant with the new regulations, as these are often the older, non-connected V16 beacons which lack the essential GPS/DGT 3.0 connectivity.

Published: 24.11.2025

Written by Dave James.

News On 93.6 Global Radio

Keep up to date with all the latest news from the Costa del Sol with the coast’s official English speaking radio station, 93.6 Global Radio.

More Costa del Sol News Stories

Some recent headlines from the Costa del Sol. See all the 93.6 Global Radio News

The V16 emergency warning light will become compulsory in Spain on the 1st January 2026.

Storms and torrential rain last weekend have boosted water levels in Malaga Province’s main reservoirs after a summer of water shortages.

The price of butane gas cylinders has fallen for the third time to €15.46 following a review.

Car Safety Beacons Becoming Compulsory In Spain. The V16 emergency warning light will become compulsory in Spain on…

[5312
2000,299,104
0":"post-590841","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-spain","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-spain
["GET
