A man has died after being hit by a car in Maghull<\/a>. Emergency services were called to Station Road at the junction with Tailors Lane just before 7am on Wednesday, October 22, after reports of a crash involving a black Range Rover Velar and a male pedestrian.<\/a><\/p>\n The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man from Maghull, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died on Friday, November 7. A 64-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and remains under investigation on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving while unfit.<\/a><\/p>\n Detective Sergeant Simon Duffy, Lead Investigating Officer from Merseyside Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit<\/a>, said: \u201cFirst and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died following the collision.
