The One Show host Alex Jones has revealed she starred on a Magaluf dating show, hosted by Davina McCall, more than 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
The Welsh presenter, who hails from Ammanford, appeared on the Great Company Podcast recently, hosted by Jamie Laing (Made in Chelsea fame).<\/p>\n
The pair spoke about a range of topics, covering everything from Jermaine Jenas’s sacking from BBC’s The One Show to Jones’ personal life, including her husband’s battle with mental health issues.<\/p>\n

Alex Jones also spoke about the time she appeared on a dating show out in Magaluf, hosted by Davina McCall and Julian Clary (later also joined by Denise Van Outen).<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old said: “It was called Prickly Heat. Something like 40 people, between the ages of say 19 and 23, in Magaluf.<\/p>\n
“Everybody was having sex with everybody, and it was just really good fun.”<\/p>\n
Jones also revealed she sat her final exams for her university degree, while in Magaluf, with McCall stepping in to be the invigilator.<\/p>\n
She said: “I did my finals for my degree in Magaluf. The University were like: ‘Absolutely not, you’re not doing your finals in Magaluf’.<\/p>\n
“I was like: ‘Please let me go and do this’. So they flew my papers out, and Davina was the invigilator.”<\/p>\n
Prickly Heat ran for three series on Sky One between 1998 and 2001.<\/p>\n

Jones also spoke to Laing about Jermaine Jenas and his departure from The One Show back in August 2024.<\/p>\n
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was axed from the presenting team at BBC\u2019s Match Of The Day and The One Show following alleged issues relating to workplace conduct.<\/p>\n
Jones, who has been a host on The One Show for 15 years, said: “JJ and I had become good friends. I was the last to know.<\/p>\n
“The BBC dealt with it, and I think if people feel uncomfortable, they have to deal with it.<\/p>\n
“If it was my daughter, and she was at work in whatever industry, and she felt uncomfortable, I would hope to God that I’d given her the tools to speak up.<\/p>\n
“And if she was brave enough to speak up, because it is a brave thing to do, I would hope that that company\/corporation, whoever, would deal with it.”<\/p>\n
She continued: “Lots of journalists have asked: ‘Have you ever had experiences that are uncomfortable?’<\/p>\n
“I mean, if you go back to the 90s, early 2000s, there were stuff and there were ways that things were said that weren’t great.<\/p>\n
