Lucas Perri has been woeful since signing for Leeds United in the summer, but Daniel Farke is lacking in alternative options. <\/strong><\/p>\n Leeds signed Perri from Lyon<\/a> in a deal worth around \u00a315.6million in the summer, with the Brazilian brought in as the number one goalkeeper.<\/p>\n The Whites had suffered from issues between the sticks last season, with Illan Meslier<\/a> making a number of high-profile clangers.<\/p>\n Meslier now looks set to leave Leeds<\/a>, with Farke<\/a> set to leave himself with the options of Perri<\/a> and Karl Darlow<\/a>.<\/p>\n Darlow has been praised for his performances this season<\/a>, after the goalkeeper stepped in to cover for Perri\u2019s injury. <\/p>\n Perri conceded twice as Leeds lost to Aston Villa on Sunday, with the second goal drawing eyes for the goalkeeper\u2019s seeming lack of movement. <\/p>\n As Morgan Rogers took the free-kick, the Brazilian was rooted to the spot, with the ball looping into the middle of the goal and just beside him. <\/p>\n Joe Hart defended Perri for the Rogers goal<\/a>, however, explaining that the technique the midfielder used would have made it very difficult for the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n Still, it was not an attractive moment for a player who is evidently lacking in confidence for Leeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to fbref<\/a>, only seven goalkeepers to have made an appearance in the Premier League<\/a> this season have a worse post-shot expected goals minus goals allowed (PSxG) figure than Perri.<\/p>\n PSxG measures how many goals an average goalkeeper would concede based on the shots they have faced, with the Leeds goalkeeper conceding 14 goals against his 12.4 PSxG faced.<\/p>\n Unfortunately for the Whites, one of the names who sits behind Perri on that list is that of Darlow.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n And it gets worse for Farke, with Perri\u2019s 50 per cent save percentage bettered by 19 other Premier League goalkeepers this season. <\/p>\n Leeds suffering at both ends of the pitch<\/p>\n On a statistical level, Leeds have not been as bad as the table may suggest this season. The Whites have scored 11 goals from a 14.9 expected goals (xG) \u2013 a number only bettered by 11 Premier League teams.<\/p>\n And the disparity is even greater going the other way.
