British Lacrosse has announced the experienced Alex Carnegie-Brown as the High Performance Coach of their women\u2019s team as they look to qualify for and then compete at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA.<\/p>\n
Carnegie-Brown has over 15 years of coaching experience, including a year as a university coach, five as a club coach, and 13 as a coach on the England Lacrosse Aspire Programme.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old also has an enviable track-record coaching Sixes Lacrosse, the version of the sport that will be played at LA28, after winning The Fly Sixes Lacrosse League in 2023 and finishing second twice (2022, 2024).<\/p>\n
Indeed, there isn\u2019t an area or level of the game that Carnegie-Brown hasn\u2019t been involved in since she began coaching, with U19 World Championship festivals, Senior European Championships, Senior World Championships, talent programmes, and several major tournament medals all on her impressive CV.<\/p>\n
Throughout her coaching career so far, Carnegie-Brown has consistently improved the players, teams, and programmes that she\u2019s been a part of and her vision, leadership, and commitment to developing world-class players and performance environments is what made her stand out during the recruitment process with British Lacrosse.<\/p>\n
