{"id":591656,"date":"2025-11-24T23:01:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T23:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/591656\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T23:01:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T23:01:27","slug":"benhard-janse-van-rensburg-extends-stay-with-bristol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/591656\/","title":{"rendered":"Benhard Janse Van Rensburg extends stay with Bristol"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/bristol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bristol<\/a> Bears have announced the re-signing of key man Benhard Janse van Rensburg.<\/p>\n<p>The hard-running South African centre has been with the Bears since 2023, after joining from London Irish, and has made 56 appearances for the club.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old, who can operate at inside and outside centre, as well as fly-half, was named in the 2024\/25 Gallagher PREM Team of the Season and his form had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/england\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">England<\/a> enquiring about his eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Benhard has committed his future to the Bears. From the moment he arrived, his consistency, professionalism, and attitude \u2013 both on and off the field \u2013 have been exceptional, making him a favourite among his teammates,\u201d said Director of Rugby Pat Lam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBenhard is an outstanding team man who leads through his actions. He is a genuine leader within our group, someone who sets the standard with his work ethic and performance every single day. He\u2019s a coach\u2019s dream \u2013 driven to improve not just for himself but for the team \u2013 and I\u2019m genuinely excited that he will continue his journey with the club.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Janse van Rensburg said: \u201cI\u2019m really pleased to be staying at the Bears.
