Arsenal and Tottenham have been rivals since 1913, with the North London Derby meaning different things to different generations. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gooners young and old relished what unfolded on matchday 12 of the Premier League, as Arsenal<\/a> beat Tottenham 4-1 in the North London Derby<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The youngest player in Arsenal\u2019s first team<\/a> was there to experience the spectacle, as Max Dowman<\/a> was named in Mikel Arteta\u2019s<\/a> matchday squad to face Spurs. <\/p>\n

As the minutes ticked down with Arsenal leading by three goals, many wondered if Dowman\u2019s number would appear on the substitutes board.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t, but still, somehow, the teenager managed to humiliate Tottenham. <\/p>\n

Dowman\u2019s long-term future belongs to Arsenal<\/a>, so the 15-year-old will experience plenty more North London Derbies in his career. <\/p>\n

The teenager\u2019s perception of the derby differs from others, purely because of his age. <\/p>\n

What emerged after Arsenal\u2019s 4-1 win over Spurs gave an insight into Dowman\u2019s perception of the North London Derby, as the last time the Lilywhites won at the Emirates in the Premier League, the academy star was not even one. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, the last, and only time, Tottenham won at the Emirates in the Premier League, Dowman was aged ten months and 23 days old.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The idea of such is almost beyond belief, but that\u2019s the reality and is simultaneously a great way for Arsenal\u2019s dominance over their London rivals to be summed up. <\/p>\n

Dowman can still shatter a North London Derby record<\/p>\n

Being born in December 2009, the Emirates is older than Dowman, but it\u2019s where the playmaker is on course to become a hero. <\/p>\n

Dowman might\u2019ve missed out on getting on the pitch for his first North London Derby this time around, but the return fixture would still permit the teen from breaking a record. <\/p>\n

If Arteta gives Dowman minutes when Arsenal visit Tottenham away from home in February, the midfielder would become the youngest ever player to feature in the fixture. <\/p>\n

The record is currently held by Gavin McGowan, who was 17 when he broke the record in 1993, with Dowman to be 16 by the time February comes around. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s a long list of records that Dowman is expected to break, but will he write his name into North London Derby history this season? <\/p>\n
