A 12-year-old boy was left injured after being ‘attacked with a weapon’ in a random assault by a man in a car. The incident was reported in Timperley last Friday (November 21).<\/p>\n
Greater Manchester Police<\/a> have issued an urgent appeal after the victim was approached by the unknown man. It’s understood the car the suspect was driving pulled up on the kerb along Stockport<\/a> Road at around 6.30pm.<\/p>\n It was then reported that the driver got out of the vehicle before ‘jabbing’ the victim three times with a weapon and making off again. The young victim, who was with friends, ran away.<\/p>\n It is thought the suspect, who has not yet been identified, was driving a white Nissan Qashqai. Anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to contact police immediately.<\/p>\n In a post shared publicly on social media, the victim’s mum shared pictures of his injuries and wrote: “Just wanted to post this to let parents be aware to be extra vigilant.”<\/p>\n She added her son had been ‘stabbed three times by a random person who pulled up and attacked him at 6.30pm on Stockport Road’ and that the attack was ‘completely unprovoked’.<\/p>\n A GMP spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following an assault of a boy by an unknown man. The incident happened on Stockport Road, Timperley, at around 6:30pm on Friday 21 November<\/p>\n “It has been reported that the man was possibly driving a White Nissan Qashqai.
