A teenager has suffered \u2018suspected life-changing injuries\u2019 following a stabbing in Birmingham<\/a> which followed a football match.<\/p>\n The incident took place in the Aston<\/a> Triangle area of the city on the Aston University<\/a> campus at around 5.45pm on Saturday (November 22).<\/p>\n A teenage man was stabbed following a \u2018social football game\u2019.<\/p>\n Read more: Woman sexually assaulted on Midland train prompts hunt for man<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Police have issued a description of the suspected attacker, believed to be a young man.<\/p>\n He is described as being black, aged around 18 to 20 and he was wearing a grey Nike Tech tracksuit.<\/p>\n Officers are urging anyone who was at the match, has any information and those with any phone footage of the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n Get breaking news on BirminghamLive WhatsApp<\/a>, click the link to join<\/strong><\/p>\n A spokesperson for West Midlands Police<\/a> said: \u201cWe\u2019re appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Aston.<\/p>\n \u201cOfficers were called to The Aston Triangle, on the Aston University Campus, at around 5.45pm on Saturday 22 November, following reports of a stabbing after a social football game.<\/p>\n \u201cThe victim remains in hospital in a stable condition with suspected life-changing injuries.<\/p>\n \u201cInvestigating officers have been working around the clock throughout the weekend and are now asking for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.<\/p>\n \u201cThe suspect is described as black, around 18 to 20 years old, and was wearing a grey Nike Tech tracksuit.<\/p>\n \u201cAnyone who was at the match and has any information, or mobile phone footage is asked to come forward and speak to us.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can call 101, quoting crime reference number 20\/452410\/25 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.\u201d<\/p>\n
