In a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/story\/king-charles-princess-beatrice-princess-eugenie\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vanity Fair<\/a> report published Monday, sources close to the Windsors revealed that the monarch is considering giving Eugenie and Beatrice more prominent royal duties.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cIt was something that was being looked at before recent events but despite what has happened with Andrew, it\u2019s not off the cards,\u201d one insider told Vanity Fair. \u201cWhatever people might think of Andrew, the girls are kind, hardworking and want to help if they can.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The former Prince Andrew, now known by the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, had all of his titles and privileges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instyle.com\/prince-andrew-stripped-royal-titles-king-charles-iii-mountbatten-windsor-11840663\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stripped<\/a> in a history-making move by His Majesty, which took place in October.\n<\/p>\n<p> King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Earlier this month, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instyle.com\/princess-eugenie-royal-engagement-after-andrew-scandal-11848655\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> that Eugenie would serve as a mentor on behalf of Charles&#8217;s King&#8217;s Foundation, attending a London reception hosted for people under 35.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cShe was so excited to be there and seemed very proud to have been asked,\u201d\u00a0a source who was at the event said.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Meanwhile, her younger sister Beatrice was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instyle.com\/princess-beatrice-new-role-andrew-mountbatten-windsor-11846133\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently named<\/a> Deputy Patron of The Outward Bound Trust, a charity focused on outdoor education, after having previously served as a trustee.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cThe monarch is fond of his nieces and doesn\u2019t want them to suffer because of their father\u2019s downfall,&#8221; sources close to the King shared.\n<\/p>\n<p> Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and King Charles III in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Getty Images<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_22-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cThere was no deal struck about the future for Beatrice and Eugenie, they are private individuals in that respect, but there have been talks for some time about using them when and if there is a need. For their part, they have let it be known that they are more than willing to do public duties if and when they can to support the king.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_24-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The same insider explained that King Charles is \u201ctesting the water\u201d to see how the public is receiving his nieces.
