A girl was rushed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following a hit-and-run crash on the M6\"AA section of the M6 motorway in Warwickshire between Junctions 2 and 3(Image: Google )<\/p>\n

An appeal to find the driver of a car involved in a horror crash on the M6<\/a> which left two children injured, one seriously, has been launched by police.<\/p>\n

The crash took place on the northbound carriageway of the motorway near Henley, between junctions 2 for Coventry east and Leicester and 3 for Bedworth, Nuneaton and Coventry north on Monday (November 24) shortly after midnight.<\/p>\n

A black Range Rover Evoque and a black Land Rover Discovery Sport collided at around 12.30am, with one of the vehicles left \u2018smoking and on its side\u2019.<\/p>\n

Two girls were injured in the crash. One had \u2018serious injuries\u2019 and was taken to Birmingham<\/a> Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n

While the second suffered more minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service<\/a> said it received the 999 call at 12.29am and sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer.<\/p>\n

The spokeswoman said: \u201cOn arrival, crews found a car on its side. The first patient, a girl, was found outside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmbulance staff treated the child for serious injuries before she was conveyed to Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA second patient, also a young girl, was treated for minor injuries and was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.\u201d<\/p>\n

The northbound carriageway of the motorway was closed following the crash until around 5am.<\/p>\n

Warwickshire Police is now appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward. It said no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the force said: \u201cWe\u2019re appealing for witnesses to and dashcam footage of a collision on the M6 this morning (Monday, November 24).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happened at around 12.30am between junctions 2 and 3 on the northbound carriageway and involved a Black Range Rover Evoque and a Black Land Rover Discovery Sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officers, along with fire and ambulance colleagues, attended the scene where, on arrival, one car was found to be smoking and on its side.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoad closures were in place until around 5am while we responded to the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cA child was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. We have not made any arrests at this stage.<\/p>\n
