Update [Tue 25th Nov 2025, 3pm]:<\/strong> It’s time for another big Assassin’s Creed Shadows<\/a> update, with patch 1.1.6 now available to download on PS5 at around 4GB.<\/p>\n

The update implements not one, but two free quests. The first is \u2014 somehow \u2014 an Attack on Titan crossover, in which Naoe and Yasuke investigate an impending titan-sized threat.<\/p>\n

There are a couple of downsides to this quest, however. For starters, it’s only going to stick around until the 22nd December (presumably due to licensing agreements), and on top of that, the cool Attack on Titan-themed armour from this article’s image is actually from a paid DLC pack. Boo!<\/p>\n

Ubisoft’s pulled this one before, with Shadows’ previous Dead by Daylight<\/a> crossover. There are cosmetic rewards up for grabs through the free quest \u2014 and you can nab a crystal katana for Naoe \u2014 but it feels like the best stuff is once again locked behind a paywall.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the second free quest \u2014 titled ‘A Puzzlement’ \u2014 sees the game’s two protagonists solve a comical dispute. Both characters will learn new techniques upon completion (as per the patch notes<\/a>):<\/p>\n
