The brand new offering from meat titans Hawksmoor just so happens to be inside one of the most gorgeous dining rooms in London<\/a> (if not the world). And we\u2019ve got the pics to prove it.<\/p>\n

The restaurant, which opened earlier this month, can be found inside the Grade I listed St Pancras London Hotel (formerly known as St Pancras Renaissance Hotel).<\/p>\n

Interior design studio Macaulay Sinclair has now revealed photos of their refurbishment of the space for Hawksmoor\u2019s eighth London restaurant and Martini Bar. The dining room and hotel was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and opened in 1873. It was known as the Midland Grand Hotel until it closed in 1935, with the restaurant space used as the coffee room for St Pancras station. The building was then used as railway offices until reopening as a hotel in 2011.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking about the space\u2019s refurb, Mai Yee Ng, design director at Hawksmoor, commented: \u2018We love working with heritage buildings, and they don\u2019t come much more spectacular than this Grade 1*-listed masterpiece by one of Britain\u2019s most important architects, Sir George Gilbert Scott. The result is incredible \u2013 a unique space that honours the fabric of the building, whilst weaving in familiar Hawksmoor features.\u2019<\/p>\n

All of the space\u2019s original structure remains, with the revamp highlighting the dining room and bar\u2019s triple-height ceiling, mosaic flooring and stained-glass windows. \u2018A complementary colour palate of deep greens, peacock blues and gold accents along with bespoke furniture, fixtures and fittings gives the space a recognisable Hawksmoor elegance,\u2019 says a spokesperson for the brand.
