A pensioner has died following a hit-and-run in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

The woman, said to be in her 70s, was left critically injured after she was struck by a car on Wentworth Road in Harborne<\/a>, around 10.15pm on Tuesday (Nov 4).<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> confirmed she had since died in a statement and said their thoughts were with her family.<\/p>\n

Police arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, possession of a knife and possession of class A drugs.<\/p>\n

The man was bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

Edgbaston<\/a> MP Preet Gill posted on X on November 17: “I am deeply saddened to learn that a Harborne resident has tragically died following a road crash on Wentworth Road last week.<\/p>\n

“My thoughts are with her family at this unbearably difficult time.”<\/p>\n
