That announcement of her departure from the Swedish melodic death metal mavens was made this past Sunday, November 23rd.<\/p>\n<p>She had been a member of the band since 2014, replacing <strong>Angela Gossow<\/strong>. <strong>Alissa<\/strong> paired her exit from the group with the debut of her new solo single, \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2025\/11\/23\/news\/arch-enemy-alissa-white-gluz-part-ways-as-she-launches-new-solo-track-the-room-where-she-died\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Room Where She Died<\/a><\/strong>\u201c. Several days removed from that big reveal, she commented on social media this morning, November 26th:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWow.<\/p>\n<p>I am blown away by the outpouring of love and support I have received over the past few days. Times of transition can be especially intense for the mind, body and heart. I don\u2019t take any of this lightly. But, the overwhelmingly positive response to \u201c<strong>The Room Where She Died<\/strong>\u201d has given me so much renewed energy and clarity about who I am as an artist and why I love singing and creating music.<\/p>\n<p>I am proud of the body of work I have been building for decades. After so many years of honing my skills as a vocalist, song-writer and performer; absorbing and learning with every show, every album, every video and every meet &amp; greet, I am excited to let my solo work stand on its own.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Alissa<\/strong> has been pursuing her solo career for years now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2022\/03\/15\/news\/arch-enemys-alissa-white-gluz-has-completed-her-debut-solo-album\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">completing her debut album back in 2022<\/a>. As for her replacement in <strong>Arch Enemy<\/strong>, you can rule out a return of the band\u2019s original vocalist <strong>Johan Liiva<\/strong>. The latter confirmed via social media that he had been a fan of <strong>Alissa<\/strong> in that role and will not be hopping back in the saddle.
