It’s been declared as the ‘most wholesome place to shop’\"AA ‘wholesome’ pop-up from an independent collective of artists has opened in the city centre(Image: Eclektika)<\/p>\n

A festive independent makers pop-up has opened in the city centre<\/a> – just yards away from this year\u2019s main Christmas<\/a> Markets.<\/p>\n

Eclektika, founded by NHS nurse Lexie, has opened in the Corn Exchange<\/a>\u2019s Glass Box, on Fennel Street, with a pop-up shop selling gifts, art and homeware from more than 40 independent artists from across Manchester and the North West.<\/p>\n

The pop-up, which will be open until December 21, is situated opposite the Skate Manchester ice skating rink<\/a> and has been described as being the \u2018most wholesome place to shop\u2019. It will sell a range of items, including screen-printed T-shirts, original art, handmade jewellery, sustainable vintage clothing, candles and illustrated art.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery piece here has a story, born from the hands and minds of Manchester creatives,\u201d Eclektika founder Lexie explains. \u201cI love knowing that when someone buys from us, they’re supporting a real person in their creative dreams as well as a small business. Please stop by if you\u2019re in the area and help support all of the talented local makers that I\u2019m so proud to be able to shine an extra light on.\u201d<\/p>\n

In particular, the pop-up will also shine a light on female, non-binary, disabled and LGBTQ+<\/a> creators. Items will be available to buy from the likes of Emilia Ruby, The Gingham Flamingo, Hex and Boon, Sarah Keyes Jewellery, Dave Draws, Pixiecraft, Jodhi Anne Illustration, Wren and Rye, Baiba Auria, Clouds of Blossom and Midnight Scents.<\/p>\n

The pop-up will be open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday until December 21. Each Thursday, there will be late night shopping until 7pm. \u201cI\u2019m so happy to be part of this fantastically curated artist and makers pop-up,\u201d Audrey Szarbo, of Audrinka Art, said. \u201cEclektika has brought together such a cool collection of gifts and home wares right in the heart of Manchester.\u201d<\/p>\n
