Next month, the final supermoon of the year will illuminate the skies of the capital city. The next supermoon won’t be gracing us with its presence until the end of next year. So, if you don’t fancy experiencing the severe FOMO that’ll come from missing the chance to see December’s ‘Cold Moon’, I’d highly recommend you reading on.

The final supermoon of 2025

The final supermoon of the year will come in the form of a ‘Cold Moon’. If, like me, you’re a fan of an early night, you happen to be in luck. The best time to see the supermoon will be just after sunset, as its position near the horizon will make it appear really rather huge. The sun is due to set on December 15 at 3.51pm (how bleak, hey?), and the supermoon should rise within about half an hour of the sunset.

You won’t need any special equipment to see the supermoon, although if you can get your hands on a pair of binoculars or a telescope, I’m sure they’d enhance the experience. Just head to an open space (the higher, the better), away from light pollution (easier said than done in London, I know), look up to the sky, and hope for the best, really.

Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images Save Lunar-loving Londoners, you’re going to be over the moon when you hear…

[7757
748,393,4884,17009,257,16,15,59345
0":"post-597634","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-london","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-local-trip","12":"tag-london","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom","15":"tag-winter
["GET
