He got on one knee,\u201d to which Harry said, \u201cOf course.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Meghan said she barely let Harry finish proposing before exclaiming, \u201cCan I say yes now?\u201d To this, Harry added, \u201cShe didn\u2019t even let me finish. She said, \u2018Can I say yes? Since their 2017 engagement interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have opened up more about the proposal, both in their 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry &amp; Meghan and in Harry\u2019s 2023 memoir, Spare.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_23-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> In the book, Harry wrote that he popped a bottle of champagne and set up a blanket on the grass outdoors in the walled garden of Nottingham Cottage.
