The lower part of Whiteladies Road will be totally closed to vehicles from 9.30am on Monday (Dec 1) until Friday (Dec 12).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">The closure will impact the stretch of road from its junction with Queens Road up to its junction with Tyndalls Park Road and St Paul\u2019s Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">The southbound stretch of the road has been closed since July as part of ongoing flood prevention work and to make the pavements more accessible and cycling safer. And from Monday the northbound section will need to be closed to allow drainage investigatory works to take place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">Whiteladies Road southbound will reopen on Saturday, December 13, and the aim is for the northbound road to open on Friday, December 19.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">Work will continue to complete drainage, pavement, cycle path and resurfacing works on the same section of road next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained on the pavement (west side), but cyclists should dismount. And a diversion is in place for motorists and buses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">If driving southbound, the diversion is via St Paul\u2019s Road and Queens Road. And northbound, the diversion is via Queens Road and St Paul\u2019s Road. Vehicle access to and from properties along the closure will be maintained at all times but there may be times when it is restricted or temporarily delayed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">For properties north of building 15, including 15, access will be from the St Paul\u2019s junction end of the closure. For properties south of building 15, access will vary as the works progress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"bristolpost\">For all bus services along the route \u2013 including the 1, 2, 2a, 3, 4, 71, T7, U1, U1N, and Y6 \u2013 travelling southbound, the diversion will be via Tyndall\u2019s Park Road, Elmdale Road and Queens Avenue.
