During the budget day strikes, the entry of guests was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parliament.uk\/business\/news\/2025\/nov-2025\/visitor-information-for-wednesday-26-november\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severely restricted<\/a> as school visits, tours and various commercial events were canceled.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A former senior parliamentary official, granted anonymity to speak candidly, said \u201cthe usual conundrum is at play\u201d between balancing the security of parliament and its staff while also ensuring the public can access their legislature.
