{"id":599021,"date":"2025-11-28T10:27:28","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T10:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/599021\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T10:27:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T10:27:28","slug":"legendary-birmingham-club-forum-is-doubling-in-size","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/599021\/","title":{"rendered":"Legendary Birmingham Club Forum Is Doubling in Size"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When Forum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/birmingham\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a> unexpectedly closed back in April, it was a major loss for\u00a0the city\u2019s\u00a0nightlife.\u00a0But the Forum-sized hole in the city\u2019s nightlife wasn\u2019t there long \u2013 just a month later,\u00a0the venue\u2019s operators had found a new home in Digbeth.<\/p>\n<p>Forum Digbeth launched in\u00a0May at a former Roller Jam site in Digbeth, one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/uk\/news\/the-7-coolest-neighbourhoods-in-the-uk-in-2025-093025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Time Out\u2019s coolest neighbourhoods of 2025<\/a>. Now, in even better news, it has revealed that\u00a0the venue will double in size\u00a0before\u00a0the end of this year.<\/p>\n<p>On its website, Forum Digbeth is described as a \u2018cutting-edge space for live music, club culture, and creative events\u2019 with a \u2018modular layout, advanced lighting and audio systems and adaptive production design\u2019 that makes it \u2018one of the most versatile venues in the Midlands\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The club\u00a0plans increase its capacity from 2,000 to 4,000\u00a0thanks to an\u00a0adjoining warehouse space named the Annexe.<\/p>\n<p>Billy Chauhan of Global Venues, the club\u2019s operator, said: \u2018The Annexe lets us deliver the scale, production and atmosphere that major artists and promoters are demanding from Birmingham. We\u2019re doubling capacity because the city is ready for it; the audience is here, the ambition is here, and we\u2019re committed to leading from the front.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Annexe will open on December 20 with\u00a0an event hosted by Cru2.
