Is Franco Manca your go-to? Or are you more of a\u00a0Pizza Pilgrims person?\u00a0Wherever your loyalties lie, \u2019za heads will probably be interested to hear that the world\u2019s top 10 pizza chains have been crowned by the 50 Top Pizza guide. Lucky for us cheese and tomato loving Londoners, four of them\u00a0have outposts right here in the capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Claiming the top spot globally was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/lantica-pizzeria-da-michele-soho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Da Michele<\/a><\/strong>, which was crowned the winner at a ceremony\u00a0at ExCeL London on Thursday, November 27. The Italian chain \u2013 full name L&#8217;Antica Pizzeria da Michele \u2013 was founded in Naples in 1870; it now has 70 outposts worldwide and two in London, slinging proper Neapolitan pies at Baker Street and Soho (Old Compton St).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coming in second globally was the\u00a0<strong>Big Mamma Group. <\/strong>The European<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>chain known for its larger than life restaurants with OTT\u00a0d\u00e9cor has six locations in London: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/barbarella-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barbarella<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/gloria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gloria<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/ave-mario\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ave Mario<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/jacuzzi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jacuzzi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/carlotta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlotta<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/circolo-popolare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Circolo Popolare<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place in the global ranking went to the British chain <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/pizza-pilgrims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pizza Pilgrims<\/a><\/strong>. Founded in London in 2012, the chain new serves Neapolitan pizzas from 10 different London outposts, with restaurants in Shoreditch, Oxford Street and King\u2019s Cross.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/berbere-kentish-town\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Berber\u00e8<\/a><\/strong>, created by Italian brothers Salvatore and Matteo Aloe, ranked 7th in the world. It\u2019s known for its slow-fermented sourdough\u00a0bases and has four London outposts in Tottenham Court Road, Marylebone, Kentish Town and Clapham.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The curators of the new ranking \u2013 Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere \u2013 said: \u2018We are very proud of the artisanal chains guide, because over the years we have witnessed a constantly growing movement not only in numbers, but above all in quality.
