Celtic fans will be waking up on Friday with a smile on their face after the team\u2019s performance against Feyenoord.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One man who has played a part in providing the fans with joy is Daizen Maeda<\/a>, who produced one of his best performances of the season. <\/p>\n

Everyone has been aware of Maeda\u2019s situation, and how he hasn\u2019t been at his best, including playing all over the shop under Brendan Rodgers and now Martin O\u2019Neill.<\/p>\n

But as Celtic beat Feyenoord 3-1<\/a> in the Europa League on Thursday night, Maeda played down the middle, supplied two assists, and the supporters loved every minute of it. <\/p>\n

When Maeda took to social media and posted \u2018UEL night\u2019, with a few emojis, the supporters flooded the Japan star with a load of messages.<\/p>\n

Maeda wanted to leave in the summer<\/a>, and there is talk around his future heading into the January transfer window<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Celtic<\/a> fans reacted to his social media post and told him to stay, and even some called for the Treble-winner to sign a new contract. <\/p>\n

Maeda\u2019s game vs Feyenoord in numbers<\/p>\n

Maeda is lethal down the middle<\/a>. He proved that last season when he was Scotland\u2019s PFA Player of the Year.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s pretty clear, the versatile forward needs to stop play on the right. Put him down the middle from now on; if not, then playing on the left would also work. <\/p>\n

Maeda supplied two assists against Feyenoord, and his pressing also resulted in Reo Hatate putting the champions of Scotland<\/a> ahead in the first half. <\/p>\n
