A person who was struck by a train<\/a> near a railway station has suffered potentially life-changing injuries.<\/p>\n At around 12.45pm, the British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the railway near Yate<\/a> railway station.<\/p>\n Great Western Railway<\/a> (GWR) said that a person was struck and that all trains between Bristol Parkway and Gloucester were immediately halted.<\/p>\n Emergency services attended the incident and a person was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n The person has suffered potentially life-changing injuries.<\/p>\n BTP said the incident is not thought to be suspicious.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for BTP said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks at 12.45pm today (Friday, November 28) near Yate railway station.<\/p>\n “Officers and paramedics attended and a person was taken to hospital for medical treatment with potentially life changing injuries.<\/p>\n “The incident is not thought to be suspicious.”<\/p>\n GWR said that trains are now able to run trains between Bristol Parkway and Gloucester.<\/p>\n National Rail said that disruption is expected until 7pm.<\/p>\n Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted.<\/p>\n To keep up with the latest updates, visit our live blog here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Reach out if you need help<\/p>\n If you are struggling, there are a number of ways to get help.
