Bristol Palin<\/strong><\/a> has shared a health update nearly one year after she first detailed her battle with facial paralysis.<\/p>\n

Palin, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, November 27, to share a Thanksgiving \u201cfit check\u201d alongside her 5-year-old daughter, Sailor Grace Meyer, whom she shares with ex-fianc\u00e9 Dakota Meyer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlack skinnies, black long sleeve, same denim shirt I wear all the time, vintage Louis Vuitton,\u201d the Teen Mom OG alum said.<\/p>\n

Palin then added, \u201cAnd still a crooked face,\u201d hinting that she\u2019s still recovering from what her doctors believe may be a case of Bell\u2019s palsy. (According to Mayo Clinic<\/a>, Bell\u2019s palsy is \u201ca condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face.\u201d)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBristol Palin gave a lighthearted update on her facial paralysis condition. \u201cIf I just keep my mouth shut I look pretty normal, lol,\u201d Palin, 34, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday. February 4. \u201cMaybe it\u2019s a sign.\u201d Palin\u2019s update comes nearly a week after she initially opened up about her health struggle. \u201cI woke [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Bristol, who is the oldest daughter of former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin<\/strong> and ex-husband Todd Palin<\/strong>, first revealed her health battle in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cI woke up nine days ago with a little weird sensation in my face,\u201d she said via social media at the time. \u201cMy mouth was pulling this way and it just felt a little off. So I went, looked in the mirror. I\u2019m like \u2018Wow. This is looking a little weird.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dancing With the Stars alum added, \u201cWithin a couple hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed \u2026 Couldn\u2019t really blink my eye. Definitely had no movement on [the left side] of my face. So crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bristol said her doctors \u201cran tests, did a CT scan [and] put [her] on steroids,\u201d as well as other medications.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing came back with all the results. They think it\u2019s just a case of Bell\u2019s palsy<\/a>, maybe brought on by stress or lack of sleep. I\u2019m not really sure. There\u2019s nothing that I was super stressed out about, but I think it was brought on by stress,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

In February, Bristol shared that she had tried \u201ceverything imaginable\u201d to treat her condition, but nothing seemed to work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure what else I should do. But I\u2019ve spent the last 35 days doing something every single day to try and fix this and nothing has helped so far. So, I\u2019m not sure what the future holds,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

In another update that month, Palin said, \u201cWe\u2019re on day 23 of this<\/a>, which is absolutely insane. I can\u2019t move the left side of my face at all. It\u2019s really hard to blink, I can\u2019t blow out a candle. I look crazy. Cannot believe it\u2019s been over three weeks. I\u2019ve been doing all the things. I\u2019ve been doing acupuncture, lymphatic massage, oxygen chamber treatment, red light therapy, cutting out almost all of the processed foods, eliminating most caffeine \u2014 I\u2019ll still have a cup of coffee in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe road to recovery. Bristol Palin shared an update on her health with fans following her ninth breast reconstruction surgery last month. While answering fan questions on Thursday, February 23, via her Instagram Story, the former Teen Mom OG star, 32, was asked, \u201cHow are you healing post-surgery? All good?\u201d Luckily, her update was a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Bristol\u2019s condition did eventually improve, as she revealed in a July Q&A that her face was \u201cprobably 70 percent back to normal<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m handling it well,\u201d she added. \u201cI can\u2019t look at pictures of myself [right now].\u201d<\/p>\n

Bristol continued, \u201cIt *could* be permanent, but I don\u2019t think it will be. It is slowly improving.
