{"id":60068,"date":"2025-04-29T11:22:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T11:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/60068\/"},"modified":"2025-04-29T11:22:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T11:22:09","slug":"mcginley-believes-another-2025-mcilroy-major-win-is-no-foregone-conclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/60068\/","title":{"rendered":"McGinley believes another 2025 McIlroy Major win is no &#8220;foregone conclusion&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">It was as predictable as it was swift, but Rory McIlroy\u2019s Career Grand Slam-completing victory at The Masters was met with widespread predictions that the real grand slam \u2013 winning all four majors in a calendar year \u2013 could follow.<\/p>\n<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">With the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow \u2013 one of McIlroy\u2019s favourite stomping grounds \u2013 in mid-May, it\u2019s conceivable that he could have two of the four legs completed by the time the US Open at Oakmont comes around, but Paul McGinley thinks that talk of a Grand Slam is premature and believes that the level of competition McIlroy is going to face means that there are no guarantees that he\u2019ll even add to his major haul, never mind win them all over the next four months.<\/p>\n<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a foregone conclusion he wins another one this year,\u201d the former Ryder Cup captain told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsboom.com\/golf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SportsBoom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\u201cThere\u2019s competition, of course there is. I mean, Scottie Scheffler is going to get better as the season goes on.
