{"id":600723,"date":"2025-11-29T06:09:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T06:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/600723\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T06:09:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T06:09:15","slug":"several-north-somerset-roads-set-to-close-for-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/600723\/","title":{"rendered":"Several North Somerset roads set to close for works"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The full public notice detailing the closures is available to view at <a href=\"https:\/\/publicnoticeportal.uk\/notice\/traffic-and-roads\/69243545b6f8c9307a5c94f2?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">publicnoticeportal.uk\/notice\/traffic-and-roads\/69243545b6f8c9307a5c94f2<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Starting on Monday, December 1, Riverside, Puxton Road, and West Rolstone Road will close for five days for cabling work related to the new fibre build.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Also on Monday, December 1, Lays Lane in Blagdon will close for three days for the National Grid to erect a new pole.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Winscombe, Church Road, Parsons Way, Church Lane, and Winscombe Hill will close from Monday, December 1 for 10 days.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A pole replacement will see Weston Road in Loxton close on Tuesday, December 2, for six hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On December 5, Oldmixon Road in Weston-super-Mare will close for six hours for Openreach to access overhead cabling.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Hughenden Road in Weston-super-Mare will be closed from Monday, December 15, for two days for North Somerset Council to re-pollard the London Planes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Uphill, Ellesmere Road will be shut on Monday, December 22 for one day.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On February 5, 2026, Shrubbery Walk in Weston-super-Mare will close for two days for Openreach to lay a duct.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On the same day, Wolvershill Road in Banwell will be closed for one day for a pole replacement.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On February 6, 2026, Drove Road in Weston-super-Mare will be temporarily restricted for one night between 8pm and 6am for safe access to a telecom mast.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Winscombe, Wimblestone Road will close on February 9, 2026, for two days for Openreach to lay 6m of duct.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Finally, on February 17, 2026, Walliscote Road in Weston-super-Mare will close for three days for Bristol Water to replace and cut off lead.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Access for emergency services, works vehicles, and other necessary access will be maintained.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force, and alternative routes can be found on the North Somerset Council roadworks map.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  These closures may not be implemented for the entire stated period, but only as necessitated by the works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The full public notice detailing the closures is available to view at publicnoticeportal.uk\/notice\/traffic-and-roads\/69243545b6f8c9307a5c94f2.
