LPGA superstar Nelly Korda has taken to social media to confirm she is now engaged.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Korda<\/a>, 27, took to Instagram to reveal her special news with a series of photos of her with her fianc\u00e9, Casey Gunderson<\/strong>, celebrating on a beach.<\/p>\n

“In this life… and the next,” Korda posted on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nelly’s sister and fellow golfer Jessica Korda wrote: “Sorry boys, she’s off the market.”<\/p>\n

Korda’s engagement session was captured by Outer Banks-based photographer, Kasey Powell.<\/p>\n

The photos of her fianc\u00e9 were something of a shock to a number of ardent Nelly fans given Casey has never previously featured on her social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Who is he?” wrote a large number of shocked Nelly fans.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nelly Korda is engaged to Casey Gunderson<\/strong>, who is the Vice President at Florida Engineering.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was formerly a Division 1 American Football athlete at Bryant University where he was playing as a wide receiver for the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

Gunderson is the son of Darlene and Randy Gunderson.<\/p>\n

He has one brother, Christopher, and three sisters, Ashley, Amber and Reese.<\/p>\n

Nelly was previously dating NHL player Andreas Athanasiou<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Korda has kept her private life exactly that in recent years, so it’s been difficult for fans to keep track of her love life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many golf fans still thought she was dating the famous ice hockey player, but her relationship with Andreas is believed to have ended in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Andreas used to caddie for Nelly at a number of LPGA tournaments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nelly and Casey are understood to have been dating several years now. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Today’s engagement photos mark the first Nelly’s biggest fans have seen of her with her beau Casey.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Korda’s family full of pro athletes<\/p>\n

Nelly is from a family of professional athletes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Korda’s parents are Czechoslovakian. Father Petr was born in Prague and mother Regina was born in Havlickuv Brod. They each repped their country as pro tennis players at top-level tournaments around the world. Petr’s career highlight was winning the 1998 Australian Open.<\/p>\n

Nelly’s younger brother Sebastian is also a professional tennis player, while her older sister Jessica is a pro golfer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Korda was born in Bradenton, Florida, which is where she resides today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nelly will round out her 2025 season by competing in the PNC Championship alongside her father Petr at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, from 20-21 December.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Korda shared a light-hearted moment with her \u201cgolf crush\u201d Tommy Fleetwood during TaylorMade\u2019s content shoot in Florida.<\/p>\n

The gathering brought together several of TaylorMade<\/a>\u2019s biggest names, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Charley Hull.<\/p>\n

Korda uploaded a photo of her with Fleetwood to Instagram \u2014 only this time, unlike their first interaction in 2021, she was much more relaxed about it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her caption read: \u201cWasn\u2019t scared to ask for a photo this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the snap, Fleetwood<\/a>, 34, is seening holding one of Korda’s red Goldman Sachs caps, signed with the playful message: \u201cTommy, you\u2019re my golf crush forever!\u201d<\/p>\n

Korda also shared the first picture they took together back at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, creating a neat then-and-now comparison that fans quickly warmed to.<\/p>\n

Nelly’s sister Jessica Korda commented: \u201cThe confidence grew [fire emoji].\u201d<\/p>\n

Korda played in 19 events on the LPGA in 2025 and she made all 19 cuts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But she didn’t win a single tournament, unlike in 2024 when she won seven times.<\/p>\n

Korda ends the season World No.2, with Jeeno Thitikul out in front heading into 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
