The new venue will open at the start of next year, inside an “iconic building steeped in history”\"ParliamentParliament Square Coffee owners husband-and-wife Christopher and Hayley Commerford<\/p>\n

A Liverpool couple have unveiled their plans to open a new \u00a3450,000 venue in early 2026. Husband-and-wife team Christopher and Hayley Commerford, from West Derby<\/a>, are the brains behind Parliament Square Coffee.<\/p>\n

The brand first launched on the street of the same name in the Baltic Triangle in June 2023.<\/a> Since then, it has developed what the couple call a \u201cloyal community of coffee lovers\u201d across the North West. Christopher, 44, spent many years working as a chef in hospitality before spotting an opportunity in the Parliament Square development to bring his concept to life.<\/p>\n

After two decades with British Airways<\/a>, Hayley, 40, joined forces with Chris, and together they have built Parliament Square Coffee into what it is today, with a second location on Clarence Street and an educational facility for aspiring baristas.<\/p>\n

In the new year, they plan to expand again with the opening of a new 3,500 sq ft flagship site on Cook Street. The new site will be located at the back of The Ivy in the Old Bank of England building.<\/p>\n

Director Hayley said: “We’ve chosen to expand on Cook Street as it’s the perfect location for Parliament Square Coffee; walking distance from Liverpool ONE<\/a> and the waterfront, whilst also being in the centre of the business district and city centre.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe iconic building is steeped in history and bigger than our other sites. There have been additional facilities we really wanted to implement previously, but space hasn’t allowed.<\/p>\n

“At Cook Street, we’re delighted to be refurbishing the building to open Parliament Square Coffee which will be complete with our serviced meeting room.”<\/p>\n

\"HowHow the new Parliament Square Coffee could look<\/p>\n

The new site will showcase the brand\u2019s speciality coffee, supplied by national partner Ozone Coffee, alongside a British-inspired brunch menu. Based in the heart of Liverpool\u2019s business district, the Cook Street venue will also include a serviced meeting room for up to 12 guests.<\/p>\n

Christopher added: \u201cThis year has seen significant growth for Parliament Square Coffee. We are now backed by global investors with deep corporate and entrepreneurial experience across the US, Asia, the Middle East and the UK.<\/p>\n

“They recognise our potential to scale across these markets, and we\u2019re delighted to be embarking on this journey together, starting with our new flagship site in Liverpool.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news comes after the Liverpool coffee shop earned national recognition not just for its flat whites and brunches – but for the way it\u2019s transforming opportunities for young people with special educational needs.<\/p>\n

Chris and Hayley were previously awarded the Futures Inspirers Award by the Witherslack Group, the UK\u2019s leading provider of education for children with SEN.
