Aldi<\/a> has recalled a Christmas<\/a> chocolate snack due to a “possible health risk” from incorrect labelling.\u00a0The supermarket<\/a> giant urged anyone who has purchased its Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks to return them for a full refund.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said this was because “it may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label”, making it “a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts”. Affected products have a packet size of 90g and a batch code of 4061463276865.<\/p>\n

Customers can return the chocolates to their nearest Aldi store, regardless of their best-before date, for a full refund. You do not need a receipt to do this.<\/p>\n

Anyone who requires more information should visit the supermarket’s website or call customer services on 0800 042 0800<\/p>\n

The FSA added: “Aldi is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.<\/p>\n

“The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.<\/p>\n

“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.<\/p>\n
