Tommy Fleetwood has called for <\/strong>The Skins Game<\/strong><\/a> to be locked in as a permanent end-of-season showdown on the PGA Tour after finishing runner-up to Keegan Bradley in its long-awaited return on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition made a lively reappearance on Amazon Prime at Panther National\u2014Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas\u2019 bold new South Florida design\u2014back on screens for the first time in 17<\/strong> years. And Fleetwood loved every second of it.<\/p>\n

“What a really great event! Hope we get to do that again soon,” Fleetwood<\/a> posted on X \/ Twitter after the contest, clearly hoping a revived Skins Game becomes a regular fixture on the schedule.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bradley walked away with a record $2.1 million<\/strong> after bagging 11 skins<\/strong>, including a monster $900,000<\/strong> haul on a single hole.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greg Norman\u2019s all-skins sweep from 2001 remains untouched, but Bradley\u2019s tally was more than enough to top the four-man field.<\/p>\n

Fleetwood finished in second thanks to the biggest single-hole prize in Skins Game history<\/strong>\u2014a clutch eight-footer for birdie on the par-4 16th that earned him $1.125 million<\/strong> and pulled him $400k shy of Bradley\u2019s total.<\/p>\n

Shane Lowry claimed third with $200,000<\/strong>, while Xander Schauffele ended the day skint\u2014literally\u2014waving and signing a cheque for $0<\/strong>, and delivering the bulk of the afternoon\u2019s comedy with a string of impressions during walk-and-talk interviews.<\/p>\n

The revived Skins format\u2014fast, fun, banter-heavy, and fully mic\u2019d up\u2014proved a hit with fans and players alike.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fleetwood\u2019s praise carried extra weight given he\u2019s coming off the season of his life: a FedEx Cup title, a first PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship, and a starring 4-point performance in Europe\u2019s Ryder Cup victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll also rise to World No.3<\/strong> next week, replacing Schauffele. Sorry Xander, it’s been a bad week for you.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bradley also embraced the nostalgia, calling it \u201can honour\u201d to compete after watching the event religiously as a kid. His victory doubled as a touch of Ryder Cup redemption after his painful captaincy defeat at Bethpage.<\/p>\n

There was no shortage of bite between the Ryder Cup rivals, either. At one stage Lowry drained a 10-footer to swipe three skins away from Bradley, quipping on his way off the green: \u201cI\u2019ve just spent the last few months breaking Keegan Bradley\u2019s heart.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bradley got the last laugh\u2014banking more than $2 million.<\/p>\n

Schauffele, part of Bradley\u2019s losing US side, took the double hit of leaving The Skins Game empty-handed, but at least kept the mood light.<\/p>\n

If Fleetwood gets his wish, though, this won\u2019t be the last time we see the boys mic\u2019d up, trading jabs and playing for giant pots to close out the season. The Skins Game might just be back for good.<\/p>\n
