Caught out of position for the second goal but that was more down to Talbi giving the ball away in a dangerous position.

Had a really difficult game against ex-loanee Semenyo, with the Bournemouth man causing issues throughout but he did really well to keep at it and got stronger as the game went on.

Won so many headers from balls thrown into the box, always seemed to be there when we needed him and made a really good block from a shot too.

Back in the starting line up and did well again, giving us more balance in the middle of the defence.

Won the penalty that got us back into the game in the first half, had a header just wide and worked extremely hard down the left side.

Went back into his more natural central role and was fantastic today, involved in all three goals, scoring one, assisting one and having a hand in Traore’s goal.

A little bit more sloppy on the ball that we have come to expect but still lead us to victory. Was great in the closing stages, closing down high up, carrying the ball into the opposition half. Got an assist too with a well disguised through ball to Traore.

A tidy game from Sadiki, who might be playing within himself slightly due to the yellow card situation. Got around the pitch though, right until the final whistle and it was a bad elbow on Sadiki that saw the visitors go down to 10 men.

Some bright bits of play but couldn’t find dangerous shots when well placed early on and then two poor passes in a row from a Sunderland corner led to Bournemouth’s second goal.

Scored his first goal for the club with a good near post finish but was very lively today, helped by having Le Fee playing just inside him. Combined well with Le Fee and made a number of dangerous, mazy runs down the channel.

Managed to find a yard of space in the first half to force the goalkeeper into a save from a well hit effort, plenty of willing running and closing down but very little to work with again.

Was good when he came on, played high up the pitch at times and put a couple of good balls into the box. Also made some meaty but fair challenges with time ticking down.

A very promising first Premier League appearance for Mundle, was dangerous when he got the ball and worked really hard when he was out of possession.

Scored the winner, thanks to his strength to hold off a defender and nod the ball into the near post. Never gave the Bournemouth defence any peace and deserves a start.

Lutsharel Geertruida: 6/10

Came on for Le Fee as we saw the game out.

Man of the Match: Enzo Le Fee

Le Fee looked much more at home in the middle of the pitch today, having license to drift from side to side. Was involved in all of the goals, with a goal, an assist and a big hand in the second goal. His game aside from those highlights was also very good though, showing some great touches and link up play.

<img alt="Sunderland’s Enzo Le Fees celebrates scoring their side’s first goal of the game from a penalty during the Premier League match at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland.
