We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"sc-1uza6dc-1 cglitp\">Your support makes all the difference.<\/strong>Read more<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/strictly-come-dancing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> has reached week 10 of its 2025 series, which means the stars can practically smell the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n<p>The six remaining couples are returning to perform after last week\u2019s Blackpool extravaganza, in which everyone made it through after <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/la-voix-strictly-injury-b2870689.html\">La Voix\u2019s untimely departure from the BBC competition<\/a> due to an injury.<\/p>\n<p> At the start of last Saturday night\u2019s episode, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced that the Drag Race UK star had sadly left the competition for good after originally withdrawing for just one week.<\/p>\n<p>Going into the latest episode, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/lewis-cope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lewis Cope<\/a> is the firm favourite after becoming <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictly-come-dancing-latest-blackpool-b2870429.html\">the first celebrity to receive a perfect 40 score<\/a> from the judges.<\/p>\n<p>One star who is at a disadvantage this week is Alex Kingston, who suffered a dislocated rib \u2013 but it was confirmed on companion show It Takes Two that the ER and Doctor Who actor would be competing as normal.<\/p>\n<p>The other remaining stars in the competition include Balvinder Sopal, Amber Davies, Karen Carney and George Clarke.<\/p>\n<p>Follow along below for all the live updates<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#post-2303167\" class=\"sc-1wyow5i-1 eSNdzi\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a suitably speedy take on the first three couples&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><strong>Alex:<\/strong> She smashed the rumba before and she\u2019s doing it again! I was worried for her having to rumba but actually the slower style has meant she\u2019s able to confer throughout. <\/p>\n<p><strong>George:<\/strong> That horrible fur coat has come off immediately. And they\u2019re pulling off some solid Tango steps! And it\u2019s ended with a lift! Silly and fun&#8230; but not sure how it stands up as a tango? <\/p>\n<p><strong>Lewis: <\/strong>Oh Katya has fully choreographed this. She does not mess around and I love it. And he\u2019s ended it by jumping through a hoop she made with her legs? On the celebs\u2019 set of stairs, there are lots of scared faces. <\/p>\n<p>Each couple will have 10 seconds to prepare together and then they have to perform for 40 seconds. There is no let-up whatsoever. These two struggled to agree on a dance style for this one so I&#8217;ve really been looking forward to seeing what they&#8217;ve settled on. <\/p>\n<p>Explaining the story behind her Couple\u2019s Choice, Karen spoke in her VT about her footballing career, which saw her make her debut first team appearance aged just 14. <\/p>\n<p>Karen said she has struggled with receiving abuse online during her punditry career.
