Phil Mickelson has seen just about everything in professional golf\u2014but even <\/strong>Lefty <\/strong>was floored when he learned PGA Tour pro Max McGreevy had rattled off 60 straight fairways without a miss.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mickelson<\/a>, 55, owns 45 PGA Tour<\/a> titles and sits eighth on the all-time wins list, not to mention nearly $100 million in career earnings. But this stat? Even for a six-time major champion, it was hard to process.<\/p>\n

The LIV Golf<\/a> star was speaking with Golf Digest\u2019s Jamie Kennedy when he was told McGreevy\u2019s streak had quietly climbed to 60 <\/strong>consecutive fairways\u2014equivalent to four and a half rounds of flawless driving.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The run spanned multiple events leading into and through the RSM Classic in November 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t fathom that,\u201d Mickelson said, laughing in disbelief.<\/p>\n

McGreevy\u2019s mark is now the second-longest streak<\/strong> ever recorded since the PGA Tour began tracking every shot in 1992.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Only Adam Long\u2019s record of 69 <\/strong>straight fairways in 2023 stands above it.<\/p>\n

The stunning streak of fairways might not have heralded a maiden victory for McGreevy, but he did end the season 60th in the FedEx Cup Fall Standings.<\/p>\n

That not only earns his card for the 2026 season, but it also hands him a couple of starts in Signature Events too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

McGreevy ended the season in 11th place for driving accuracy, largely aided by his end-of-season push.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He found 68.77% of his fairways on the PGA Tour in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Japan’s Takumi Kanaya topped the driving accuracy standings by finding 74.07% of his fairways. The Japanese narrowly earned his PGA Tour card for 2026, finishing the standings in 99th. position.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mickelson, who left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf in 2022 in a deal believed to be worth around $200 million, is now deep into an extended off-season before the 2026 LIV campaign opens under the lights in Riyadh this February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u2019s still chasing his first LIV title as captain of HyFlyers GC alongside Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale and Andy Ogletree.<\/p>\n

While Lefty gears up for another season in the desert, the PGA Tour will restart in mid-January at the Sony Open, following the cancellation of The Sentry due to severe drought and water restrictions on Maui.<\/p>\n

As the new year approaches, one thing remains clear: even a man who\u2019s seen every corner of the sport can still be stunned.<\/p>\n
