The noise levels have faded from Derek McInnes\u2019 Hearts in recent weeks, and it coincides with them dropping more points in the Premiership. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Whilst Martin O\u2019Neill has won all of his league games in interim charge of Celtic<\/a>, the Premiership leaders are starting to feel the heat, as they proved at Fir Park on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

McInnes\u2019<\/a> side were held to a goalless draw against in-form Motherwell, who, despite playing in midweek during their win against Hibernian, proved to be the better team against Hearts. <\/p>\n

With Celtic facing Hibernian<\/a> on Sunday afternoon at Easter Road, it\u2019s going to be interesting to see who Hearts fans will be cheering for, because they are going to need a favour from their bitter rivals. <\/p>\n

Speaking to BBC Sport<\/a>, McInnes didn\u2019t complain about the result, as he thinks it was \u2018fair\u2019, but he was \u2018annoyed\u2019 his players didn\u2019t take their second-half chances. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s interesting is that the Hearts boss stated \u2018we\u2019ll take a point\u2019, despite the fact that the champions of Scotland<\/a> can now leapfrog the leaders if they win their two games in hand. <\/p>\n

\u201cMotherwell had slightly the better of the first half,\u201d said McInnes. \u201cWe had some good moments on the break, but we were wasteful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted us to be a bit more positive, and we spoke about that at half-time. We kept them away from our door for a half-hour period, and I\u2019m annoyed we\u2019ve not capitalised on that. For the last 15 minutes, we stopped doing what we were doing and took a step back.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the course of the piece, I think a point was enough and fair. We didn\u2019t do enough to win it, and that\u2019s frustrating. We\u2019ll take the point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nobody is going to deny that Hearts deserved to beat Celtic<\/a> at the end of October, but since then, it\u2019s been dropped points after dropped points for the Jambos. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s four games Hearts have failed to win, but from the perspective of McInnes, he thinks his players are \u2018returning a good points tally.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t getting too high when we were winning,\u201d added McInnes. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re returning a good points tally at the minute. We just need to get back to showing that attacking threat. We feel we\u2019ve got the answers in the building.\u201d<\/p>\n
