<\/a><\/p>\nOn Tuesday, one of the women told the court: \u201cI can tell you that at no point was there a feeling that \u2018we have got him\u2019. It was not a victory. This does not feel like a victory.\u201d<\/p>\n
She later added: \u201cI do not believe any point in this process is there something that has looked like a celebration. It is not joyful. There has been no assurance of any outcome at any point.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been something that has been done purely because I feel it is the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked by defence counsel Rupert Kent if she was trying to hide collusion between herself and the other woman, she replied: \u201cI am not.\u201d<\/p>\n
The court heard she had received a selfie from the first alleged victim who was winking in the image.<\/p>\n
Mr Kent asked her if it is possible the other alleged victim had \u201cmanaged to affect your interpretation of events\u201d or\u00a0if \u201cshe has put any pressure on you?\u201d.<\/p>\n
Giving evidence from behind a screen, the second woman told the court it had taken her months to process what had happened and the alleged rape went on to affect different areas of her life.<\/p>\n
She told the court: \u201cMy interpretation of events developed when I found that things in my life like intimate relations with my boyfriend were affected.\u201d<\/p>\n
The woman had said she was having consensual sex with Johnston and asked him to use a condom.<\/p>\n
In her police interview, she said she moved his hands away as he was \u201cactively grabbing\u201d towards her throat and she was \u201ctrying to insinuate that this is not OK\u201d.<\/p>\n
At some point he stopped and removed the condom, and carried on having sex, the court heard.<\/p>\n
Johnston stayed the night of the alleged attack and they watched a show on a laptop.<\/p>\n
On the suggestion it should have been immediately obvious she had been raped,\u00a0the woman said: \u201cNo, I think it takes time to work out.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cI wanted to gloss over it. I wanted to be able to move on and not to be dealing with years of the aftermath of this.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some time after the incident, she invited Johnston for a meal and also for a coffee.<\/p>\n
The woman told the jury the dinner invite was offered as she wanted to find something \u201cmore gentle\u201d out of the violence and \u201cwanted to be treated as a human being\u201d. She saw the coffee invite as a possible chance to have a conversation.<\/p>\n
She recalled having a \u201cwobble\u201d when she tried to get close with a new boyfriend, not being able to wear turtlenecks and that she has had a lot of therapy to try to deal with other issues.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the woman\u2019s ex-boyfriend recalled a time when she \u201crecoiled\u201d and \u201cretreated\u201d from him when they were intimate.<\/p>\n
He recalled she was \u201ccrying and very upset\u201d and then she spoke about Johnston.<\/p>\n
The court heard the woman told him: \u201cHe (Johnston) became aggressive. She told him to stop but he did not. She tried to push him off with both hands on his chest but failed to get him off.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe (Johnston) kept on going on, then something happened where she was grabbed, pressure put on her neck.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe lay there in bed unsure what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
