West Midlands Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy after a teenager was stabbed at Merry Hill Shopping Centre<\/p>\n

A boy has been arrested after a teenager was chased and attacked with a machete in a shopping centre.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> was called to the Merry Hill shopping centre<\/a> in Dudley<\/a> around 3.30pm on Friday (November 28) after disorder broke out.<\/p>\n

A gang reportedly chased another group which ended with a 17-year-old being injured in the Eat Central food court.<\/p>\n

The victim suffered a minor cut to the back and was taken to hospital by paramedics.<\/p>\n

Investigators revealed that they have arrested a 16-year-old male at around 5pm on Saturday (November 29) on suspicion of wounding with intent.<\/p>\n

The force is still appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them.<\/p>\n

A WMP statememt read: “We received a number of calls from members of the public who were in the centre at the time, at around 3.30pm.<\/p>\n

“We still need to hear from anyone who has mobile phone footage, who saw what happened, or who has any other information.<\/p>\n

“Extra officers will be patrolling in and around Merry Hill over the weekend to offer reassurance, and speak to anyone with concerns.<\/p>\n
