Manchester United are on a collision course with bitter rivals Real Madrid<\/a> over Federico Valverde. Real superstar Valverde has emerged as a shock target of United.<\/p>\n Valverde’s Real future is in serious doubt following a bust-up with manager Xabi Alonso<\/a>, with Uruguayan international one of several Real players said to be unhappy with Alonso’s management style. Valverde is under contract until 2029, but is considering leaving the Spanish giants unless his relationship with Alonso improves. United are one of several clubs keeping close tabs on the situation.<\/p>\n Ruben Amorim<\/a> is a huge fan of Valverde’s and would love to lure him to Old Trafford. But Real bosses have made it clear that if Valverde wants to leave, his price tag will be \u00a3100m.<\/p>\n United value the 27-year-old closer to the \u00a370m mark – and the two clubs remain a long way apart in their valuation of Valverde. While Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a>, who was left devastated when Real signed Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> in 2009, once said he wouldn’t sell Real “a virus”.<\/p>\n Alonso has also been seen clashing with Vinicius Jnr during the opening months of his spell at the Bernabeu, which comes at a time when the Brazilian is in the midst of contract negotiations.<\/p>\n Despite all the politics the player turned manager insists nothing has surprised him about the Real job despite its demands. He said: \u201cIt\u2019s turning out to be what I expected, a very demanding job. With moments when you need concentration, others when you need to react quickly. But I\u2019m enjoying everything, the whole package that it entails.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s demanding, that\u2019s clear. But I\u2019m certainly not the first coach to have to deal with these situations. They\u2019re not new situations.
