Liverpool FC legend Kenny Dalglish was spotted alongside This City is Ours actor Jack McMullen at a Merseyside caf\u00e9 yesterday. The pair were photographed outside Rita’s Caf\u00e9 on Kirkstone Road North, Litherland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

McMullen, who plays Jamie Phelan in This City is Ours<\/a>, donned a Liverpool shirt while Sir Kenny wore jeans and a jacket. Witnesses said they appeared to be filming something.<\/p>\n

Irene White Bernard was driving past Rita’s Caf\u00e9 after work when she spotted them. She told the ECHO<\/a>: “My hubby had just picked me up from work and we were driving past.<\/p>\n

“We saw the film crew and knew they had used this caf\u00e9 for quite a few movies.<\/p>\n

“Then I spotted Jack McMullen, who I knew as a little boy as he went to school with my son. My husband spotted Kenny Dalglish.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t speak to them, but just assumed it was something to do with Liverpool winning the league as they had Liverpool scarves on.”<\/p>\n

Jack McMullen was born in Litherland in 1991. As a child actor, he made his television debut as Josh McLoughlin on Brookside, playing the role from 2002 until the show’s final episode in November 2003.<\/p>\n

He won two British Soap Awards for his role in the show; the first for Best Newcomer, and the second for Best On-Screen Partnership with co-star Sarah White.<\/p>\n

In 2004, McMullen went on to appear as Timothy ‘Tigger’ Johnson in the long-running BBC One children’s television series, Grange Hill.<\/p>\n

From 2010 to 2012, he played the regular role of troubled teenager Finn Sharkey in ‘Waterloo<\/a> Road’.<\/p>\n

More recently, he starred in Jimmy McGovern’s prison drama ‘Time’, and Apple TV thriller ‘Hijack’, alongside Idris Elba.<\/p>\n
