It comes as both banks, part of the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Lloyds closing 218 bank branches across the UK in 2025 - full list\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/finance\/personalfinance\/2120951\/lloyds-closing-218-bank-branches\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lloyds Banking Group<\/a>, have seen a shift in consumer habits, with more people choosing to bank online.<\/p>\n<p>The scheduled <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"The 23 Natwest, Barclays, Santander and Lloyds banks closing in November\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/2131938\/natwest-barclays-santander-lloyds-banks-closing-november\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mass closures<\/a> are part of the major blow that has hit <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"High Street\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/high-street\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high streets<\/a> in recent years. However, the group is determined to provide banking support in areas where a branch is closing.<\/p>\n<p>A Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson said: &#8220;The way people are banking has changed, with over 21 million customers choosing apps to manage their money. We&#8217;re providing more choice than ever before, bringing together the best in digital convenience with our people.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Alongside our app, our customers can use any Lloyds, <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Halifax\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/halifax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Halifax<\/a> or Bank of Scotland branch, the Post Office or banking hubs for their everyday banking, and deposit cash at over 30,000 PayPoint locations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Community Bankers set up in a community venue or banking hub and support those who do not have a local branch.
