Dave Allen<\/a> has confirmed he will be returning to the ring in February but reiterated his desire to fight for the British title next summer in Sheffield.
Allen (24-8-2, 19 KOs) lost to Arslanbek Makhmudov<\/a> by decision in September but reignited his career with a pair of thrilling fights against Johnny Fisher, the second of which ended in a brutal fifth-round knockout<\/a>, in December 2024 and May of this year. \u00a0
TKV won the British title after a bruising 12-round war against Frazer Clarke<\/a> in Derby Saturday night, and Allen picked up on the result from just over 40 miles away in Birmingham, where he was working for DAZN on the Ben Whittaker-Benjamin Gavazi broadcast.
After Whittaker iced Gavazi<\/a> in the first round of their light heavyweight contest, Allen spoke about his future plans on Matchroom’s post-fight show ‘Small Talk’, confirming he will be fighting on the Josh Warrington-Leigh Wood II<\/a> card on February 21. <\/p>\n

“I don’t know if it’s been announced yet but I’m boxing in Nottingham anyway,” he said. “I’ve seen the poster so it’s a fact.”<\/p>\n

Allen then turned his attention toward TKV<\/a>, who impressed against Clarke, hurting the Olympic bronze-medallist late in the fight before winning a split decision. <\/p>\n

“[Jeamie] TKV just won the British title so I said to Eddie ‘let’s do TKV in Sheffield in the summer’,” Allen added. \u00a0<\/p>\n

“We’ll get a win in Nottingham then we’ll get TKV hopefully back in Sheffield. I’ll be 34 years old, that’ll be my last chance. That’d be the perfect night and the perfect place to do it.”<\/p>\n
