Chris Tynan was a well known figure in local radio and charities<\/p>\n

More tributes have poured in to a BBC Radio Merseyside presenter after his death was announced. Chris Tynan was a regular feature on the radio station\u2019s breakfast and weekend shows before they came to an end in 2023.<\/p>\n

Chris was also a leader of the RSPB<\/a> Liverpool for 30 years, stepping down from his role in April of this year. Fellow presenter<\/a> Anno Brandreth paid tribute to him yesterday<\/a>. He said: “RIP Chris Tynan. Chris was a well-loved and important part of the Naturewatch team and did great work locally to promote the things we love and are important to listeners.”<\/p>\n

Sharing a photo of Chris<\/a>, they added: “He will be sadly missed, and we will hopefully do something in a future broadcast to honour him; it is a sad day for us all. Chris is here on the left in his wonderful penguin jumper.”<\/p>\n

In his role at the RSPB, he gave talks to local groups and featured on the radio, receiving praise for his “energy and enthusiasm for birds and wildlife”.<\/p>\n

Following the ECHO\u2019s article, many issued tributes of their own.<\/p>\n

In the comments section of the article, user lolbm said: “Chris was simply the best.<\/p>\n

“RSPB Liverpool were blessed to have such a great bloke to be their leader, funny, knowledgeable, attentive and patient, a brilliant birder, nature enthusiast and speaker. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”<\/p>\n

User queenoftuebrook added: “RIP Chris, you will be missed.”<\/p>\n

On the ECHO’s Facebook<\/a> page, Chris Cashin said: “I knew Chris well. Great guy and will be sorely missed. My love goes out to the family.”<\/p>\n

David Long said: “So sorry and saddened to hear this news. Chris was my neighbour in my first house.
