It is funny how things work out sometimes. In the summer, the narrative was that Liverpool FC had snatched away Bayern Munich\u2019s most desired transfer target for many years in Florian Wirtz (which remains true), destroyed their dominance over hoarding all the German talent and gave them their leftovers in Luis D\u00edaz for an inflated price. Now the narrative has changed, with Liverpool deeply regretting the sale of the hard working, irrepressible D\u00edaz, who has proven impossible to replace, while Bayern have managed to secure a superstar that fits the system far better than Wirtz ever would have.<\/p>\n
Narratives always carry a certain amount of truth and lies and the same goes for the narratives above. But there is a certain irony in the fact that Bayern\u2019s honorary president Ulrich Hoene\u00df, looking at the first half of Liverpool\u2019s season, is able to not only heavily criticize it but express sympathy for Wirtz, as well.<\/p>\n

They only have \u2018chiefs\u2019 and no \u2018workers\u2019,\u201d Hoene\u00df opined to German news site Bild, as captured by @iMiaSanMia<\/a>. \u201cI always say that Liverpool will soon have to play with five balls because the stars won\u2019t let go of the ball.
